Sorry For What I Said When I Was Hungry Abroad
Being lost in a new country is always an adventure, but sometimes those adventures can take a turn for the worse when your stomach starts to growl. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement about exploring {astrange land and forget about the most basic needs like food. This often leads to crankiness, which can lead to some less than gracious behavior.
I've definitely learned this the hard way on a few. One moment I was excited about trying a local delicacy, and the next I was snapping at my travel companions because I hadn't eaten in hours. It's not exactly a behavior I'm proud of, but it just goes to show that even the most social traveler can fall prey to a ravenous monster when they're hungry.
So, if you ever find yourself abroad and starting to feel hangry, my advice is to take a break. It might be the difference between having a memorable trip and one that ends with some embarrassing moments.
